Chaplain Joshua Czyz began Critical Support Services in 2018 with over 20 years of local church ministry experience and over 10 years of chaplaincy and CISM experience in fields including Healthcare, Law Enforcement, Fire, Prison, Motorcycle, Business and more.

The mission of CSS, inc. is to provide leadership, education, training, consultation and support services in chaplaincy, disaster response and crisis intervention for emergency responders, places of worship, schools, communities and other organizations.

Czyz is currently serving multiple agencies as their chaplain and presents at academies, trainings, and conferences regarding chaplaincy, Critical Incident Stress Management, and disaster response.

REV. JOSHUA M. CZYZ, M.A.T.S.

Joshua Czyz, a native of Central New York, is a Chaplain in New York State Corrections, and serves as volunteer chaplain for Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, Auburn Police and Fire Departments, and Civil Air Patrol. He is also chaplain for Armoured One, training for, responding to and creating systems that defend against active shooter events. He has served on the Cayuga County CISM team for ten years, and the Disaster Mental Health Response Team while Manager of Spiritual Care at a local Syracuse hospital.
Joshua is ordained with and endorsed as a chaplain by the Assemblies of God and is certified with the New York State Council of Churches. He graduated from University of Valley Forge with a Bachelor of Science in Bible as a Pastoral Ministry Major and earned his Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Northeastern Seminary.
Joshua is married to his best friend, Rachel and they have six boys, Jeremiah, Joshua, Jerry, Josiah and two foster sons. He enjoys riding his Harley, also serving as chaplain for a local motorcycle club.
